One of the biggest and popular tech company Sony has showcased it's first ever electric car concept and in today's article we going to discuss about Sony's all new Vision-S Concept. According to Sony, they will start testing self-driving cars to boost up the company's safety and sensing technologies as the company wants to move a step forward in the automotive sector. The prototype car looks very interesting but there are some points i want to make you clear first that it is showcased in a concept form only and Sony had not disclosed anything about when does this car come in production, what should be its price and all such other things. So now we have to consider it as a concept only.
Sony Vision-S Concept : Platform
Sony has developed the platform of the prototype car with the help of MAGNA which is biggest Canadian automotive company and according to Sony, this platform can also be used for making SUV's and other body types as well. Obviously as it is named as Vision-S so it important to include future visions. Apart from this, Sony has also collaborated with some other tech giants who had developed some of its tech related parts namely, NVIDIA, QUALCOMM, BLACKBERRY and also collaborated with the companies like BOSCH, CONTINENTAL, MAGNA who had given there automotive expertise for the development of this car.
Sony Vision-S Concept : Design
Let's talk about its design, so coming from a tech company, this car is elegantly designed, there is nothing much like out of the box, it is a simple and good design. The design is pretty similar to TESLA and there is no information available about if any company is involved for making its design or not but after all its a good design.
Sony Vision-S Concept : Performance
Talking about it performance then it is equipped with two 200 kilo watt power grills which can take 0-100 kmph of speed in just 4.8 seconds and it has the top speed of 240 kmph. Sony has not given much specification about this car but i must say that after having a look on its prototype it must be appealing. If Sony launches this car then it will directly compete with cars like Tesla model 3.
Sony Vision-S Concept : Technology
As many tech giants had given tech expertise to Sony's new car so definitely there should be interesting tech bits as well. Talking about the interior then there is a multi-screen dashboard layout is given which can give a lot of information plus it can also provide a rich infotainment and multi-media experience. This car is equipped with 33 different sensors inside and outside of the car which generates comprehensive data which helps in the autonomous driving, self driving and other safety features of the car so that it can be used in the best way. Sony's Vision-S Concept comes with level 2 autonomous skills which means that it can control acceleration, braking and steering but from the safety point of view human intervention is most important.
Sony Vision-S Concept : Multi-Media and Infotainment
Talking about multi-media and infotainment system then this car comes with the feature of 360 reality audio which can give the best multi-media and infotainment experience. Every seat of the car is comes with a separate speaker and it comes with always on technology so that the car can be updated whenever required.
