Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace : Interiors
(Row 1)
The exteriors of the Tiguan Allspace are one thing to talk but what we really want to talk about here is the interiors and we're going to start at the front and move our way to the back. In terms of the dashboard, it's pretty much the same, you've got the same steering wheel, the same infotainment system, the same air controls, the same gearstick, the same mode selectors, it's all the same.
What's new here though is the digital instrument cluster. So now you've got a virtual cockpit like cluster and you can toggle between all sorts of information. So you can get your telephone up here, what audio is playing, you can even get navigation and obviously all your driving information is displayed up here. In terms of build quality, the Tiguan has always been hard to fault and that continues with the Allspace and it comes loaded with feature like you get heated seats, you get this Park Assist, you get drive modes, you've got electrically adjustable seats with memory function, auto headlamps, auto wipers, cruise control, you even got a few autonomous functions like Lane Assist and front assist which will brake the car autonomously in the case of an emergency braking situation.
One of the things I really like about the Tiguan is how the storage spaces are designed so you've got a storage space here with two cupholders as obviously storage under the armrest you've got storage in here to put your mobile phone or whatever you want. You've got these felt lined door pockets, they feel very nice. We've also got some secret storages in the Tiguan, up in the dashboard, which is again first line, you can probably put your sunglasses there or something. There is a space below the seats down here no one will ever gonna find this, if you have anything naughty to hide.
(Row 2)
This is what the second row of the Tiguan Allspace
looks like (as shown in the image). The increased wheelbase has improved knee
room slightly and I've just got just about enough Headroom as well. Something
that's cool about the Tiguan Allspace, the seats slide, so you can probably
make more room for the person in the back, you can also recline these seats to
a more comfortable position. You've got an armrest here in the center with
integrated cupholders and you've got your separate zone climate control as well
as a USB charging spot at the back. Something that I particularly like about
the Tiguan and this was in the five seater Tiguan as well are the tray tables,
so if you want to work out here, you can put a tablet in this groove over here
or you can just put a laptop here and
work or even eat because you've even got a cup holder.
(Row 3)
Now lets talk about the third row the Tiguan Allspace. So this is what the third row looks like(as shown in the image). If the middle row is set to an adequate amount of comfort for me, I don't have too much Headroom I've got a hunch and my knees they fit in here but they're touching the second row of seats. But remember this is adjustable so if you move the seats fully in front of, I actually got enough space for my feet as well as my knees but then there's no space over there and if you move it all the way back. I don't even fit in here. So what you need to find is a good well you need to find is a good compromise for the second row as well as the third row. Talking about the boot space, Underneath here is a parcel tray that you can use if the third row is foldable with the third row up. This is the amount of space(as shown in the image) you have now. This is not exactly flat it's a slightly raised platform but it's not too impractical. You can increase the boot space though by pushing down third row and that so now you've got a lot of room but you can still increase it even more by flipping an equipment in the side. You've got a total of twelve hundred and seventy four litres of boot space.

Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace : Driving Review
Right coming to the way it drives, now under the hood is a
completely new engine, it's a 2-liter TSI engine mated to a 7-speed DSG gearbox.
Now none of Volkswagens new cars are going to be diesel cars and the Tiguan is
one of the first new patrol cars we're gonna be seen. This TSI engine makes 190
horsepower, 320 Nm of torque and the first thing you notice, when you get into
it is, how punchy it is. It is immediately more responsive than the diesel that
used to be in the Tigual. It feels much punch, it feels much quicker, it revs
out much nicer than the diesel. The diesel after 4,500 rpm, it was dead. This
thing it revs all the way to 6000 rpm. You can really really get the Tiguanto
move with it. Throttle response, if feels sharper as well. The Tiguan just
feels more responsive on the moves, so when you are higher speeds, when you ask
for more acceleration, the Tiguan with this new TSI engine, it gives it to you.
Earlier it used to feel a little strained and a little out of breath on the
highway, but it is no more.
This monocoque really feels tight and really feels planted. The new engine keeps up with that chassis it allows you to exploit it just a little more. It makes the Tiguan a lot more fun to drive. With an introductory price of rupees 33.12 lakhs, the Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace is a little expensive but you need to remember it is also a CBU. For that money you're getting a Tiguan that has a lot more practicality and a punchier motor. The Tiguan also should ideally rival the likes of the skoda kodiak but the kodiak hasn't got a bs6 update just yet. So its rivals include now the likes of the Ford Endeavour, the Toyota Fortuner and the mahindra ultras g4. What makes the Tiguan Allspace stand apart is it's got better on-road dynamics. The monocoque frame, it feels a lot better on the road it feels more car-like. So if you want a full-size SUV that actually feels great to drive on the road and you're not going to take it off-road too much, the Tiguan Allspace is the one to go for.

Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace : Exterior
This may look like the regular Volkswagen Tiguan from the
front but when you move over to the side, you can tell that it's the Allspace.
Now I know all you guys are waiting to find out what that third row is like. Well
we'll get there before that lets talk about the front of the car. From the front it's pretty hard to tell the Tiguan allspace
apart from the regular Tiguan but I'll give you one quick trick, new DRL
elements. Apart from that the face looks pretty much the same, you've got
similar headlamps, the same fog lamps and a very chromy grill.
We come around to the side and that's where you can actually spot the differences. This Tiguan Allspace is longer by 215 millimeters, that's about 8 inches. The wheelbase is longer by 110 mm as well. You're running standard 18-inch wheels and when you come around here you'll also notice that there's no cladding at the bottom instead you've got this chrome strip here which breaks the monotony of the doors. Come around to the rear tail lamps very similar to what the Tiguan has, you've got the four motion badge over here, signifying that this car is all-wheel drive and you've got the Tiguan Allspace badge over there.

The engine sounds great as well, it's extremely
refined when you're taking it easy and just in drive mode and bumbling along. It'll
sit around two and a half thousand rpm and you can't even hear it in the
cabinets, it is silent. When you ask for a kick down, you're shifting in the
sport, pull the left paddle then immediately its responses and it sounds nice.
It sounds a little enthusiastic. It's got that nice little roarty vibe to it. It's
a four-cylinder so it's not particularly evocative but it sounds good. As for
the ride and handling package it really hasn't changed. The Tiguan was always a
creative car to drive. When it rides, it rides flat, it is blunted, it doesn't
get thrown off by small undulations in the road. It feels extremely charming. In
my opinion this swapped out engine is all the nicest things that has happened
to the Tiguan because your diesel engine didn't really do justice to what this
chassis offers. Sure it's an SUV units, how can I Drive like a sports car but
it's one of the nicer SUVs to drive out there.
